Small Business Welcomes Support To Chart A Way Post Covid

‘The Small Business Advice and Financial Guidance Program which opened at 1pm today will provide small businesses the opportunity to seek support and chart a way forward as we climb out of the pandemic hole,’ said Robert Mallett CEO of the Tasmanian Small Business Council in Launceston today.

‘The business landscape has significantly changed for many, and a fresh set of independent eyes will be just what many businesses need to stay and prosper in their businesses, for as long as they want.

‘I’m pleased that this election promise has come to fruition, and it will build on the $20,000,000 already invested in the Tasmanian small business sector in business continuity grants.

‘Small businesspeople are well used to sorting out their own problems but the last 18 months has been a challenge.  To have government’s, both state and commonwealth, recognise the unprecedented need for some timely support to keep the engine room of the economy ticking over, is very much appreciated.

‘The TSBC looks forward to working with the Tasmanian Government to ensure the programmes are fully subscribed and that best value for money, demonstrated by a healthy Tasmanian economy, is achieved.
